Désiré began as a successful latin jazz dancer and teacher, dancing in music videos. Salsa was simply a natural progression for him.

Désiré trained to become a cuban salsa instructor at L'Ecole Rogelio Piloto Martinez in Paris. Those in the know would say Rogelio himself is one of the top latin/afrocuban teachers in France hailing from the National School of Art in Havana, Cuba. This school produces most of the top cuban-salsa teachers in the World.

He then moved to the one of the homes of salsa, Cuba, and taught salsa at Palmreal in Varadero.

Désiré now specialises in Cuban salsa including Rueda de Casino, but also salsa Latin Jazz, modern jazz and hip hop. He regularly choreographs and participates in shows and demonstrations around Paris, often involving his students of all levels, from improvers to advanced dancers. He is the founder and choreographer of the dance group, Ocho.

As well as this, Désiré and his partner also compete. The recently won 2nd place in a salsa contest for the Latin Festival in Disneyland Paris.

On top of this, Désiré is often asked to teach at events across France and Europe.
