Ella Peck (Element Dance)

Ella, of mixed Dominican and English heritage, was a keen gymnast from a young age. She went to university in Leeds (Politics) She also began to work for the Luso Brazilian Society, Leeds. She began training in Contemporary dance before she began to nurture her passion for Latin Music, in particular, Samba. Ella was always fascinated with languages, particularly French and Spanish, and with South America, and on completing her studies, she went on a world tour, stopping in particular, in South America.


Ella Peck established Element Dance in 2005 with founder members Emi and Eneyi.


Ella and danced and trained in Brazil, performed with Circo Piccolino in Salvador, Brazil 2005 and was invited to dance as a Passista in Rio Carnival in 2006.


Ella has since been training at the Laban dance school in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, and is also training in Cuban styles with Ariel Rios.


Ella has undergone training with the National Dance Teacher’s Association (NDTA) and is also a qualified Aerobics Instructor. She has worked with and taught for organisations including ‘Birmingham Royal Ballet’, ‘The Yorkshire Dance Centre’ and more. Ella’s biggest achievements include touring India (Chennai, Mombai, Mahablashawad, New Delhi) and Denmark (Copenhagen) with her own choreographies for Element Dance. Ella recently won the European Reggaeton Championships with her troupe- Element Dance.


Ella can be seen at her regular classes as welll as events, and she will be a special guest teacher in Guadeloupe, March 2008 with LaXL,
