La Xpresionlatina

The Great Feeling

Mo (Manchester)

Mohamed Targhaoui is a Mambo, fitness and football instructor currently working in and around Manchester.

Mo was born in France in 1970 to Moroccan parents who imigrated in 1968, Mo grew up in Grenoble.

Mo's first passion was football - playing from the age of 9 for Grenoble FC. He is a 3 times French Champion in Football Saleo (Indoor) and has achieved one selection for the French National Team. Having gained an FA Coaching Level 1 qualification, Mo has coached kids at Broadheath FC, Bolton FC and Blackburn Rovers FC.

His interest in sports led him to try Tennis, Marathon, Boxing, running and Squash but his imagination was finally captured by an unlikely interest - dancing!

Mo discovered the Manchester Salsa scene in November 1999 and learned the On2 style in 2003. Salsa has taken him all over the world: New York, Paris, London, Birmingham, Amsterdam, Guadeloupe... the list goes on!

MO was the first ever guest teacher for La Xpresionlatina's Sunday Salsa Socials Launch Party in NOvember 2007. He joined us on our culture/salsa holiday to Guadeloupe 2008 and is back BY POPULAR DEMAND teaching at the Sunday Salsa Social on 20th April.  He is loved by our salsaeros for his great salsa style and teaching techniques including the ability to break down steps
