Yvonne began dancing salsa when her Peruvian best friend took her to latin club on her 18th birthday. She quickly became addicted to the latin rhythms and took to it like a fish to water utilising her jazz training. Salsa is such a free dance allowing great expression and she just adores performing. Yvonne also loves to dance salsa where she travels, it is such a universal language that gives great joy to so many people, no matter what your mother tongue is, we can still communicate across the language barrier with salsa. This is a sentiment echoed at the very heart of La Xpresionlatina, this our core aim and emphasis.
YVONNE'S major tip is to practice dancing with lots of different people to refine your lead/follow and make sure you practice but remember, its about enjoying yourself and not that you need to look like a clean, sharp, trained polished professional....
